Did you know?
Honey is bee vomit. And it never spoils.
Bees swallow flower nectar, carry it in a special stomach, then bring it back up into the honeycomb. So yes, honey is technically regurgitated. But here's the wild part: bees add enzymes that make honey so acidic and so dry inside that bacteria can't survive in it. It becomes, essentially, a no-trespassing zone for germs.
How long can it really last? ↓
Honey found in sealed Egyptian tombs was still edible after 3,000 years. The archaeologists tasted it. Honey doesn't expire — ever.
